Prof. Moria Yael

Landscape architect, urban planning and building specialist and curator.

Moria holds an MA (with distinction) in Architecture and Urban Culture from Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain, and a BA in Landscape Architecture from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

For the past fifteen years she has taught at leading academic institutions in Israel, including Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Tel Aviv University, the Open University, and the Technion, where she served as an associate professor in the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning until 2014.

Moria is a co-founding partner of Moria-Sekely Landscape & Architecture Ltd., which is responsible, among other things, for the renovation of Ibn Gabirol Street, the Atarim Square complex, and Gordon Swimming Pool in Tel Aviv, the rehabilitation of the Hiriya site, and future planning for urban spaces in Beersheba. She is currently engaged in the renovation of the historical Dizengoff Square in the heart of Tel Aviv.

Alongside her professional activities, Moria has curated numerous exhibitions in her field of expertise, including “Back to the Sea” in the Israeli pavilion at the 2004 Architecture Biennale in Venice, the Bat Yam International Biennale of Landscape Urbanism, and the “In the Public Domain: A Tribute to Tel Aviv Municipal Gardener Avraham Karavan” exhibition in the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
