Prof. Ehud Menipaz

Dean of School of Industrial Engineering & Management

Professor Emeritus at Ben Gurion University in the Negev, where he served as the founding chair of the The Ira Center of Business, Technology and Society and the Solomon & Abraham Krok Chaired Professor of Entrepreneurial Management. Over the course of his academic career, he served as a professor of aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering and industrial engineering and management, and as a professor of business administration, specializing in stochastic processes applications, global business strategy and technological innovation. In addition, has served as a principal research associate and visiting professor in universities around the world, including: New York University, Columbia University and UCLA in the United States, McGill University in Canada, Deakin University in Australia, and Bilkent University in Turkey.

Professor Menipaz has over 200 academic outputs, including peer-reviewed papers in international scientific journals, chapters in books and text books, a book on operations management published by Prentice Hall and a book on international business published by Sage Publishing. His studies are funded by international and national research funds and he acts as scientific editor for a number of international scientific journals. He serves as an elected director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Association (GERA), which is engaged in a global, multi-year study of entrepreneurship and innovation (GEM), in some seventy countries worldwide, and heads the study, which is also being held in Israel, and the findings of which are presented to elected officials and decision-makers; he is the founding director of Young Entrepreneurs Israel, a member of the Israel Association of Industrial Engineers at the Association of Engineers, Architects and Graduates in Technological Sciences in Israel, and chair of the Ira Foundation of Business, Technology, and Society.

Prof. Menipaz is the founding director of an international company for computer memory units and a retired senior partner of Ernest & Young International, where he specialized in the promotion of excellence, operational and technological innovation and industrial and economic development of countries, government organizations and Fortune 500 Companies. In addition, he served as chair of the Canadian National Research Council’s Industrial Engineering and Management Committee, as a member of the American Quality Foundation under the auspices of the Office of the President of the United States, and as a member of the Forum for Sustainable Economic Development in Former Communist Bloc Countries.
